Requirements for Admission: Master’s Degree

If you are seeking admission to an online master’s degree program, you must meet the following three levels of master’s degree admissions requirements (conditional, provisional, or full) in order to be fully admitted to the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC):

Conditional Admission Requirements: Applicants are conditionally admitted based on their completed application and approval by the Office of the Registrar. These students are not eligible for Title IV funds and are not considered regular students until granted provisional or full admission. Key requirements include:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or graduate-level degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of 2.0 or above.
  2. Computer and Technology Skills: Access to a computer with internet connectivity and the necessary technology skills.
  3. English Proficiency: English language proficiency demonstrated through prior education or approved English language tests (TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson).

Note: The GPA requirement for the Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology is 3.0 or above.

Provisional Admission Requirements: To be provisionally admitted to a Master’s program, students must:

  1. Attend beyond Week 3 of the first course.
  2. Submit official or unofficial transcripts indicating degree completion with minimum GPA requirements.
  3. Fulfill English language testing requirements if applicable.

Transfer Credit Evaluation: The University evaluates previous postsecondary education for potential transfer credits. Official transcripts are requested, and transfer credit evaluation is conducted.

Full Admission Requirements: Full admission criteria include:

To be awarded the Master of Human Resource Management degree, all students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and complete 13 courses for a total of 39 credits. Satisfactory completion of a comprehensive final examination and a capstone project is required for graduation.
